NATIONAL VETERANS RESOURCES

Michele Ladd and the Hero Mobile will be visiting with us at the fair!  Come out and listen to her mission to stop veteran suicide, tell her your story of serving our country and become part of her mission!

BE IN THE PARADE!

All floats should have a patriotic theme, honor our veterans, and show appreciation of their sacrifices.  Because this is a parade to show our veterans how much we appreciate their sacrifices,  the tradition of throwing candy and beads will not be allowed as we feel that is not a a way of honoring our veterans.

There will be no charge for participating in the parade and there will be 3  float ribbons,

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Best Theme Presentation.

CAKE AUCTION

Do you love to bake?  Or have a family recipe that is a winner every time?

Join the Cake Auction and bring your best skills to the table!  The Cake Auction is a fundraiser for the Mack Pack, you can read their story below.

MEET THE MACK PACK

Pictured is Jenny Mack, Mckenzie Williams, Eugene Sweat, Omari Mack, Nysia Mack and Tylan Mack along with little baby Aslinn. On September 26, 2018 their lives changed forever.

A hit and run driver ran the car that all of the children including Aslinn, before she was even born, off the road into another car and a bridge.

Tylan was life flighted to one hospital in Chattanooga while Nysia and Omari, all the younger children, were sent to another and Mckenzie and Eugene were sent to yet another. Three days later mother, Jenny Mack was fired from her job while she struggled with having to be with only one child, Tylan, as he was the most critically injured, while the others were far away in another town at another hospital and at the same time worrying about her daughter Mckenzie who was 9 months pregnant at the time of the accident and was ready to go into labor at any minute.

Aslinn was born just a few days later in perfect health, but Eugene and Mckenzie have some PTSD from the accident.

The accident has left Tylan with a TBI and many, many medical and financial needs and a very long journey to recovery. Nysia and Omari were in  the hospital for several weeks with various injuries from the accident including broken bones and other major injuries

.The Cake Auction and baked goods sold will go to help provide much needed financial support for the things that insurance does not cover like the special water Tylan has to have that costs thousands.

Join us in helping to make it a little easier for a family who has been through the worst and continues to have to deal with serious medical situations on a daily basis. At the writing of this, May 16 2019 Tylan is in the ICU with seizures.

While Jenny is not a veteran, she is the neice and granddaughter of several veterans who have served over the years. Her great grandfather Burrell Dover served in the Navy, she has cousins who served in Vietnam, and the Army as well as Marines in the Korean War, World War I and II

Do you love to bake?  Or have a favorite cake you like to make?  Enter the Cake Auction and fill out the form, include all ingredients in the  cake for allergy alerts.  This particular event will be to raise funds for Tylan Mack of Dalton, GA.  Tylan suffers from a TBI that was caused in a major car accident last September when the vehicle he was riding in was ran off the road by a hit and run driver and hydroplaned into another car.  Four children from the same family were sent to the  hospital with varying degrees of injury, two other siblings, Nysia and Omari were also severely injured and sent to a different hospital.  Their mother Jenny Mack, was fired from her job 3 days later when she was unable to be there while trying to care for her 3 children. who were still hospitalized.

Our goal is to get 100 cakes donated to raise much needed funds for medical supplies that are not covered by insurance such as the special water Tylan needs.
